Ok i acquired a 2006 altima 2.5l and also had to readjust the CPS sensor.. I might not uncover a good DIY so right here you go, the damn STEALER wanted 300.plus to do this.. Hell v that... Remove the (4) allen head bolts that hold the plastic engine cover. Eliminate the wait tube that connects the accelerator chamber come air filter box. Pull off the valve sheathe breather hose with the air tube. Now place a drop light under the 2 rubber heater hoses (at the firewall top top the vehicle drivers hand side), bright the light forward in the direction of the earlier side that the block (below the input runners). To view the crankshaft sensor and connector, look in between the valve cover and also the throttle chambers (intake runners) ~ above the drivers side, look right down towards the ground… look for the sensor v a black color wire connector v a green tab ~ above the side, hosted to the engine block through a gold colored 10mm hex headed bolt. You will have to view the sensor from this place as you are adhering to the steps listed below to remove and install the crank sensor.

Next step is to get the CPS out of the side of the block, this was the hardest component for me.. That a 10mm bolt holding that in, i took a 2in extension and reached down and put that on the bolt. Then took a 4-6in extension and rachet and hooked come the currently started 2in and socket and also lossen the up.. Now to gain the CPS the end of the block girlfriend might be able to wiggle it back and forth to obtain it out, mine i took some needle nose pliers and also grabbed it and pulled it out..

next to clean connectors and put in new CPS.. Lube up the brand-new O ring v oil on slide it in the next of the block,,, then gain the 10mm bolt v the sensor and also into the block, kinda tricky! and torque it under think that is 8ft pounds mine is snug
